Theia FAQ / Troubleshooting
Q - Why is Theia (or Hyperion) not responding to my hardware MIDI controller
A - Theia is a multi-layer synth with the ability to set specific MIDI channels for each layer when the patch is a combi type patch. This means that layers are assigned to a specific MIDI channel, and by default all the presets are set to respond to MIDI channel 1 - so if your MIDI controller doesn’t send on all channels (Omni mode) please check you selected MIDI channel 1 as the output channel.
Similarly some DAWs will send MIDI data on all channels to a plugin, others will select a specific output channel - so again, please check the channel assignment matches the expected receive channel (1 for factory patches) or the channel you selected for the layers.
Q - Why does the unlock button still show after registering for a trial license?
A - This is to allow you to unlock with a full license should you choose to buy it before the trial period ends (which would be awesome!) - you can check the trial status on the info page.
More information about trial mode here.
Q - Can I play Hyperion patches with Theia
A - Yes (and vice versa) - Theia will allow you to point its browser to the location of Hyperion patches - please check details about this on the Theia vs Hyperion page here.
